Lexcel V5 has arrived!!
Following the recent changes in regulation and the revised Solicitors Code of Conduct 2011, we are delighted to announce the official launch of Lexcel V5.
Revised to enhance its relevance to the profession, with increased risk management requirements, the Lexcel standard now provides greater support for outcomes-focused regulation ( OFR). The Lexcel office of The Law Society has worked in partnership with practices, both accredited and non accredited, the SRA and Professional Indemnity Insurers to ensure a holistic revision of the Standard.
Available for assessment from 1st January 2012, Lexcel V5 will be optional for all firms with an assessment booked. From 1st July 2012, it will become mandatory, and will replace all previous versions. For those practices already accredited with annual maintenance visits due between January and July 2012, you will need to decide whether to opt for assessment against Version 4, 4.1 or 5.
To support you with the revisions that will be necessary within your own practice to enable a successful assessment against Version 5, The Assessment Network is running a series of events specifically focused on the new V5 requirements. Please see our events page for further information.
