The General Quality Mark
The General Quality Mark (GQM) is part of a family of Standards that assures the quality of advice and service that members of the public receive when they are seeking legal advice. Holders of the GQM, are organisations that provide advice and/or outline options to members of the public.
There are two levels of the framework that can be applied for and this will reflect the service that is provided to clients:
- General Help
- General Help with Casework
The framework of the Standard covers 7 key areas of delivery, including:
- Access to Service
- Seamless Service
- Running the organisation
- People management
- Running the service
- Meeting clients needs
- Commitment to Quality
Once achieved, your organisation details and certification will be advertised through the Community Legal Service (CLS) directory for a period of 2 years, after which point a further review of the service delivery will be required.
