ISO 9001:2000

ISO 9001:2000
is the internationally recognised standard for an organisationīs internal Quality Management.

It provides a framework for continual improvement of products, services and customer satisfaction and ensures that customer quality requirements are met. Itīs requirements were last revised in December 2000 and there are now many significant overlaps between ISO and the Investors in People standard. Due to the overlap between the Standards, it is becoming increasingly more common for organisations to elect for an intergrated ISO 9001:2000 and Investors in People assessment.

Adopting a quality management system should be a strategic decision for your organisation. The design and implementation of your organisationīs quality management system should be influenced by particular objectives, the products provided, the processes employed and the structure of your company.

The Assessment Network will discuss your needs and suggest a solution that best suits your organisation. You will be assigned a Consultant who will be your primary contact throughout the assessment process and beyond. During their time with you, your consultant will build up detailed knowledge of your organisation and provide invaluable support.

Once you are ready for formal Audit Assessment, an independant auditor will conduct the formal assessment and you will be informed of the assessment outcome before he or she leaves your organisation. After achieving accreditation your Consultant will help you to maintain your registration and ensure that you continue to meet the requirements of the Standard.

About 80,000 companies in the UK are certified to ISO 9001:2000. Accreditated organisations manage their key business processes in a consistent manner and continuously improve these processes to meet the needs of their customers.
