The Legal Services Commission has a duty to ensure that the solicitors and not for profit organisations comprising the CLS are offering advice services to the public which are of a sufficient standard.
The Legal Services Commission also makes an award in relation to specialist help services for those organisations that provide advice and legal help on complex matters in specific areas of law. Organisations wanting to apply for Specialist Quality Mark will be required to continue to liaise with the Legal Services Commission in respect of application and audit of this accreditation.
